I set up Canine 2 Equine as I found that I was struggling to spend enough quality time with my animals as I wanted when I was working full time, and I met many people through my riding and dog agility that had the same problem; they wanted there dogs to get more exercise or didn't want to spend the few hours they had with there horse mucking out!
Holidays were another problem, where do I take them? who can look after them? after all not everyone is lucky enough to have people who will look after there animals when they are away.
So I decided to set up a service where I could travel to people's homes and yards and provide a service where their dogs can be exercised, horses taken care of and pets looked after whist there owners are at work or on holiday, allowing piece of mind that their best friends are being well looked after so they can come home and enjoy their time with them.
I am fully police checked and fully insured. For insurance purposes a disclaimer must be signed for dogs to be let off lead.
About Me:
My Name is Kimberley May, I am 27 years old and live in Arundel, West Sussex. I have always had a love of animals and after growing up on a farm in Wales I have been very priviledged to have looked after many different animals including, dogs, horses, cats, hamsters, budgies, cockatiels, rabbits, chickens, sheep, goats, cattle, ducks ...... the list goes on! I have also had a fascination with exotic pets since being a member of the "animal room" in secondary school, where I was in charge of the iguana and aksolotl! I even had a pet bearded dragon called Eddie Lizzard!
Now a days I live in a 3 bedroomed house in Arundel so I haven't quite got the room for all these animals any more! However I am very lucky to still have my Welsh Cob Polo who I bred and broke in myself and brought down here with me from Wales, I love him, even though I have to get up at 6.30am to let him out of his stable! I also have two lovely dogs, Charlie belongs to my partner Steve and I do dog agility and obedience with Alfie my Yorkshire Terrer who is a super star!
In the future I want to progress with my obedience and dog agility handling, and continue to compete in kennel club and open competitions and to get back competing in Jumping and in hand classes with Polo.
